Is there a reason why spawn camping has not been fixed yet? People are able to kill you before you can finish spawning at the priest in Kranesh over and over, without penalty, if you're a criminal with 5+ murders (pretty common). No invulnerability frames and you're stuck doing an animation when you first spawn in, and before the animation can finish, you're killed. Fantastic gameplay. Is this an intended part of the game, to completely shut out a portion of the playerbase? If so, fantastic work devs; punishing PvPers with eternal spawn camp deaths. This reminds me of games from the 90s where devs were clueless about mechanics like this because it was so new. What is the devs' excuse now?

Not to mention it goes against the terms of service, yet the in-game reporting function is worthless. No GM response for 48 hours and counting to resolve this issue. Ban the offenders or fix the spawn camping.

There is a fix its called spawning somewhere else, stop griefing people by spam rezzing. Spawn camping is the only way to control territory in this game, there is a reason people are killing you at priest.

If spawn camping is the only way to control territory, then that system is poorly designed and the game is in deeper trouble than I thought...

It is badly designed, spawning is badly designed, the murder/dying system is badly designed, and a whole bunch of other things are badly designed.

It is griefing to res, tho, that's true. There should be a cool down because if you don't spawn camp someone they might head off and gear up and you've got someone equal to fight again.

There are many ways to fix it, and there is probably a level of respect to not spawn after you've been killed too many times. It's surprisingly the inverse tho. It's not them griefing you, it's you griefing them. Once you realize that, fix a cup of tea ;)

Boredom and sociopathy? There is literaly no "territorial control" in the game right now. I mean, what for are you trying to "control" a city? Imagine every city had people that would do this, you'd literaly and actively remove people from the game for no reason other than your own ego and satisfaction.

Are the NPC guards sociopaths? All the priest camper is doing is what the town guards are doing. You just don\t have enough reputation in that area for the guards to not kill you.

You are pro MC and rep lost for blue towns but not pro reputation for the non NPC controled territory but are against when players do the same thing?

It's an unguarded hostile town, what do you expect? Hugs n kisses? Killing those who are deemed unwanted by the owners of said territory, is a valid way in asserting your claim/dominance over the area. There's options to maybe access the town/priest and not get killed; Pay to use the town, get a friend with spiritism to bring you back to life....or you know, just spawn elseware?

The first game had many instances of Guilds ruling with an Iron fist over territory. You had GUTS who killed both man and beast without mercy, forcing those wanting to use the city of Fabernum, to apply for the citizen program and pay to live there, free of harm and under protection. You had many guilds in the North, slaying all those who tried to access Tephra and the blast furnaces at GK, so they could claim the wealth themselves.

Spawning over and over and expecting a different result each time, is the persons own fault. The system has flaws, but you gotta work with what you got.

We are talking about spawn camping. While technically being "PvP" I would not call it actual PvP. It is just griefing. But it is nice how some people try to defend this shit with things that aren't actually in the game.

While this sounds nice on paper it also makes it pretty obvious why MO1 failed. Control freaks in games are weird.

Very hypocritical to claim others are control freaks when you are anti PvP because you dont have control over other people not PvPing you.

Its not control freakish at all to not want random people living in your town making it unsafe. You dont want murders in your town why is it control freakish to allow these randoms in a town. They tend to kill your horses and attack you when you are crafting.

Doesn't mean that thats correct. First there is nothing deep about the game. Its a mile wide and a inch deep. And immersive is the last thing I think about with this game. Most of us bought this game when they had "worlds most hardcore game" included in that sentence.

The fact is, is this game is a PvP game and thats the only reason it got initial support from the dedicated player base before the main stream kids came.

If you are getting priest camped and cant spawn at a red priest like this guy is, tell Henrik thank you for the red priest changes.

He traded getting killed by NPC guards for player guards of kranesh
