Ye, when people can no longer wear starter armor and the damage output won't be quite as vital in a lot of fights people may opt for something lighter, as well.

I do like the combat in this patch, but I used a 2hand sword some the last couple of days and it does seem that SV should be able to speed up those swings without hurting the combat. Specifically the swords seem slower than other things. Axes even seem faster, which shouldn't be the case. Edit...

It seems like to me that they are releasing the persistent world, but not considering that to be game release in a traditional sense. As in, it will be beta with a persistent world for a while and just not wipe at the end.

I have been using plate scale with different types of armor from 7 wt to 14wt and get hit for 30 to 70 in a group fight.

Have you tried a tung triple spear? They are the main one that I have tried.

I thought this was lag/server issue because it happened to me a few times but other times (or other areas) when I fought the same person it didn't happen. What also happens to me often is that someone with low ping can hit through my block when they thrust on riposte, just like in MO1.

Please make 1 handed axes a bit longer. I think they could be a viable weapon, but the way they are now I don't think anyone will use them. Another fix could be to make their head hit box bigger. The smaller warhammer seems to have a larger one than an axe with a bigger head.

Ye, I could handle hit with right swing and overhead. I was testing on the material supplier NPC, I dunno if that has any effect.

Really? Absolutely every bit of gold comes into this game from an NPC or barrel/grave/chest, where is the logic that those are ok but not extra mats!?!
