That's exactly how it worked. Eventually however spritism allowed you to place a tower somewhere super obscure high up on a mountain and then wall/portal blocker it off making it unreachable, but thats neither here nor there.

Yeah nearly identical to the TC tower system. but not everything about TC towers was bad. If they were done just a little bit better.

This isn't a game about dueling. People seem to have forgotten that. Magic and mounts can't come soon enough. For honor was on sale for like 8 bucks over christmas if people want to go play that instead.
