Mortal Online 2 ®
In Game Chat & VoIP Communication Policy

Although Mortal Online 2 is a game intended for mature audiences, we will not tolerate any form of:
Excessively obscene or vulgar, sexually explicit, pedophilic, anti-gay, ageist, sexist, ethnically, racially or sexually derogatory comments, or communication targeting any hostility toward a specific nationality, people, race, gender or religion.
When communicating in our game you must also do so in a way that does not breach any rules set out in our Terms of Service, EULA or Community Guidelines such as revealing another player’s private information or “Doxing”.
Breaking the rules of this chat policy will result in being muted from using the communication method which was used when breaking the rules, such as text chat or VoIP for:
- 1 hour.
- 6 hours.
- 12 hours.
- 1 Day.
- 3 Days.
- 1 Week.
- 2 Weeks.
- 1 Month.
If you see a player breaking these rules, please contact a GM and report them so that they can take appropriate action.
In some cases Game Masters may also issue Timeouts, which are temporary bans from text chat or VoIP which do not contribute toward the increasing chat ban timers shown above. These Timeouts may be issued for minor infractions such as misusing a global chat channel.
Timeouts on being able to log into the game may be issued for more severe cases, such as abusing a Game Master.
Muting Other Players
You can mute other players by either:
- Right clicking their name in the chat window and selecting the mute option
- Typing /mute while looking at them
- Typing /mute followed by the name of the player
To unmute a player, type /unmute followed by the name of the player.
Misuse of Global Chat Channels
Each global chat channel is to be used for its intended purpose, misuse of a global chat channel will result in your messages being deleted and you receiving a timeout from in-game chat for one hour.
For example:
- Posting non-trade related messages in the [Trade] channel.
- Posting non-help related messages in the [Help] channel.
Global chat channels such as [Nave], [Help] and [Trade] are strictly English only.
- This is due to the necessity of being able to moderate the global channels.
Bypassing the Profanity Filter
Any communication which bypasses the profanity filter and forces players with the profanity filter turned on to see a normally censored word is not allowed and will be considered a breach of this policy.
Playing music over VoIP
VoIP in Mortal Online 2 is a communication tool, and not to be used for playing music. Playing live instruments however, such as one would do when role playing a bard for example, is okay and encouraged.
