Thanks to Angelo for creating this thread. It'd be great to have a list of fish and whether to butcher or vendor as is and the price. This may be the new record but I suspect others have caught heavier

dragon kelp doesnt work with any zoology, no acanthopterygii/zoology skill gain.
Neither do silk and sand ray meat but it should and i hope its going to be fixed soon, so its good to read the books already since they are all secondary and will be a nice head start once they get finally fixed

i always had the notion that fish meat when butchered were just vendor material since the points in there just go downhill after being butchered..

couldnt tell ya. i didnt know if it was important so i threw it in the garbage

Lmao

anyway you gave plenty of info already, thanks for info in advance!

Knowing that its a sea star they are clearly bottom feeder so wherever you are testing to fish it you should always aim to the maximum depth on that place.

Starfish in real life eat
  • Barnacles
  • Coral Polyps*
  • Clams
  • Decomposed organic materials*
  • Hermit crabs*
  • Mussels
  • Other starfish*
  • Oysters
  • Plankton
  • Sea snails
  • Sea urchins
  • Seaweed*
  • Slow moving fish
  • Snails
So the most obvious bait to try first is Brown clam, but i would not discard bone tissue emalj, molarium... another thing that may work are fruits and vegetables like basileus, lysimachia, phasel beans, pirums, salvia...

I love to have some info to begin with so i can start hunting

Dremlock I wish I had your patience to do this sort of fishing... It's only gonna get worse once there's only 1 server too.
