    Carebear BS

So you can't kill someone in town with a ring in their inventory, steal it, put it on and die to the guards instantly but keep the ring. It was very obviously a problem.

    Murderers Should Get Permadeath

    Well said.

Allow wearing a shield on your back in combat mode

This is a neat idea indeed, but as you have already said would require some significant changes to shields for it to work. We also need better keybinds for swapping weapons and shields in general.

Allow wearing a shield on your back in combat mode

Just a few comments, 1. The less than 60% health stamina regeneration penalty was removed quite while ago, we regenerate stamina at full speed at any percentage of health. 2. Adding a foot speed movement slow down to just about anything simply means it won't ever be used by anyone except maybe...

Is there any sense from intelligence above 130-134

Like I said it was changed a while ago, back in beta. If you want to go hunting through the patch notes you can. Yes it increases, but you get diminishing returns. So the difference between say 90 and 100 is larger than the difference between 120 and 130.

Is there any sense from intelligence above 130-134

It's not linear, that was changed a while ago. We now have a diminishing return for very high intelligence values.

Where does it say that they're taking away the ability for a mage to use a shield? They specifically mention how it's still possible to use a shield as a mage, we just need to use lighter ones that aren't as heavy and protective. Honestly it made no sense at all that the meta way to play a...

    Another Reason why Players Quit

Throughout your message I only see you make two distinct points again, that some people can't abstract or differentiate the game from reality, and that some people who claim to be "good guys" end up being bad people. The latter more so, but both of these points aren't really related to what...

    Another Reason why Players Quit

I never said all player killing is griefing, in fact I never mentioned the word grief once in my previous comments. I'm talking about something quite specific, and I don't think we're on the same page.

    Another Reason why Players Quit

This is precisely what I am referring to. Role playing a speciesist and killing specific people is a good thing to have in the game, I would argue it adds a lot to the world to have players engaging in somewhat interesting behaviours. What I am talking about however, is the people who are not...

    Another Reason why Players Quit

You might want to leave "the thinking" up to other people you deem credible enough, but to each their own.

    Another Reason why Players Quit

There is no correction required. Unless you're a mindless drone whose actions are the result of purely random processes, the choices and decisions you make are directly related to your character. Your actions are part of what define you as a person. Whether you make these choices in real life...

    Another Reason why Players Quit

At no point did I say people act the same way in real life as they do in games. My examples were given in the context of a player doing what naturally comes to them, and not through a filter of role playing a villain or evil persona. When given complete freedom, the choices people...

    Another Reason why Players Quit

On the contrary, it actually speaks volumes about you. If a player derives no pleasure from killing someone else and taking their hard earned belongings, and instead would rather help that person and grow together cooperatively, that says a lot about that person and what their values are...

Too Easy to get to 100 on skills?

That's a matter of perspective. If you personally want to meta game, that's up to you. Not everyone plays like that however. Also, it depends on where the increased time investment comes. Currently for crafting, the crafting levels 1 - 69 are almost universally seen as useless or not viable...

Too Easy to get to 100 on skills?

If we want to value long term character skill progression, yes some skills level way too fast. The problem is action skills can't require too much investment, otherwise there will be a significant gap between a new player's PvP ability and a long time player. Some profession skills however...

Would accepting defeat be the better choice right now for the game long term?

I don't think anyone at SV thinks the Necromancy patch will be the saviour of the game. I believe the goal is to release this patch, making good on the last item of their previous roadmap before moving on to fix the core issues in the game, both involving bugs and design pain points. Once...

Would accepting defeat be the better choice right now for the game long term?

We'll have to wait and see. I for one, don't see any reason why it will fail save for some uncanny alternate dimension where working on fixing bugs for months results in no bugs being fixed. Unless they simply don't do what they said they're doing, it should work.

Would accepting defeat be the better choice right now for the game long term?

I think you know what i'm saying, and i'm not trying to have an argument.

Would accepting defeat be the better choice right now for the game long term?

I agree, just because you miss your deadline you shouldn't release anyway. In those instances they should have restructured the roadmap to accommodate the new amount of time they think they'll need. I don't think anyone should ever release an unfinished update. I see them trying to get better...
