Just thinking more on how I envisioned the Tagmaton invasion should look like, given how they've been marketed to us as an all-consuming doomsday invasion swarm. It should have the effect of causing the entire server to rally together and prepare for its impending arrival with grim...

You brought up a good point, making towns unusable. It would necessitate players from all walks of life to put aside their differences and work together for the time being against a common threat, and form a massive army of their own to free the town. The last time I saw this kind of player...

My thoughts on the Reckoning expansion: The Tagmaton invasions are nowhere near aggressive enough, for a species that supposedly nearly ended the world of Nave they don't even pose a big enough threat to fundamentally reshape player activity and unite them in defence of their way of life and...

To be fair, the words "Full loot, full PvP" are in the first paragraph of MO2's Steam and Epic Games page. On MO2's website, the words "Fight and kill other players" are written. I think SV never intended nor expects MO2 to have mass appeal with the likes of New World. But they are trying to...

I agree that thievery needs to be a priority now that they've released I'd say enough dungeons, armours, mounts and whatever else fluff. I was under the impression that Tagmaton invasions are supposed to be organic and spread as they grow stronger? Something isn't quite adding up if people are...

The thing is, back in 2010 when SV built MO1's crafting around the concept of hoarding recipes as a secret, it didn't take long for coders who also happened to be fans of the game to build and put out calculators using discovered formulas for whatever experiment the player wanted to carry out...

Anything that would make the world of Nave function like it had its own beating heart and a mind of its own, where players are not the be-all and end-all center of the universe would be good for the game, in my opinion. Those who have played true living, breathing world games like Distant...

Could we please have the ability to save our crafting recipes in the UI, so that we don't have to note them down in our journal notes or out-of-game, which can be tedious and impractical. Or give us the ability to create those recipes on in-game items in the form of papers, and even book...

I think this is one of those long overdue quality of life improvements that, for some unknown reason, is still not implemented. When we go to the crafting table, we should be able to see how many of each material we need to craft an item, and what the item stats will be when we select the...

Wow, never thought the invasion would spread out this fast. Might need to start preparing defences for my hometown. The spiders do fight back when attacked by tagmatons, do they not?

You can't lose rep or turn red for killing a blue in the lawless wilderness, right? If so, I don't see what the problem is. Ganking blues near town is meant to carry higher risk and consequences, it's really for those who actually want to go red and stay red. The way I see it, being a red under...

The last round of guard patrol for the eleventh hour of the evening had just passed the Tindrem tavern's entrance, and another squad took its place like clockwork. Inside the tavern, patrons are getting up to leave or finishing their drinks. The tavern keeper is wiping mugs and cleaning up...

Having non-consensual PvP also brings political considerations into the picture. In the same example above, suppose that you knew the guild leadership and are on good terms with them. They may grant you safe passage through their lands, or even send a contingent of their own to escort you...

Reminds me of a now-dead mmorpg that started out by marketing itself as a return to the old glory days of pre-Trammel Ultima Online, and heaps of UO fans flocked to it. Then, just before release, it completely changed course and gave some weird reasoning that made no sense. That one decision...

I would be happy to see the invasion spawn system be applied to other creatures and humanoid mobs like the bandits, undead, and such, but expanded to have their own faction system and thematic behaviours. Have them be hostile to diametrically opposed creatures, like a bandit might be hostile to...

Yes, I remember playing the arms race game with the thieves in town back in MO1, which I enjoyed. I'm just hoping SV won't ditch thievery altogether because of who knows what reasons.

I have an uneasy feeling that SV may not want thievery in the game for all time, despite some 63 percent of the community wanting it. The reason may be that they want towns to be a place where players won't have to worry about danger and risk so much. Given that thieves operate mainly in town...

There's an indie project called Shards of Britannia that recreated the old UO experience, with some custom features of their own:

I like the idea. Would make long distance travel a bit more manageable, especially if you need to log off in the middle of nowhere for whatever reason.

Hey there, I run a small RP-lite guild for solo players if you're interested: https://mortalonline2.com/forums/threads/the-reactivation-of-the-auxiliary-peacekeeping-citizenry-apc.8879/
