As much as I'd like to see thievery because it's a big part of the heart of mortal, I also don't see it pulling in large numbers of players. We have to be realistic, in terms of ROI, it's pretty low compared to new dungeons and polish etc. So I can get why SV isn't prioritizing it.

Whyyyyy do they have to complicate it. Just copy mo1 system, and add in that getting caught hurts your rep. Easy balance, more risk for the thieves, same fun to be had.

I'm surprised they didn't just copy/paste the thievery/lockpick system from mo1. It wasn't perfect but it was one of the more balanced and interesting systems. So much from the first game we don't have and I can't understand why.

I think a good bow being dirt cheap and being able to carry 500 arrows is a good balance. If you want arrows to hit harder, they'd need to limit carrying capacity to around ~64 or so like they do in mount and blade
