It's a crap system, it's a sandbox but you're forced to kill zombies to have a chance of getting clade xp. They've said they'll add more ways of getting it, but why this isn't a priority is beyond me.
skilling up is ok, you need to come out of haven prepared. Rampant gold farming shouldn't be allowed. They need to put a delay between when you delete a character and when you can reroll.
at the moment it's a boring and unrewarding system. The extreme rng makes it tedious and downright unhealthy (carpel tunnel is only thing it seems im going to catch), lower gold payouts per gram of fish would have been the better option. Hopefully SV will see the error of their ways and...
They choose the absolute worst way to "balance" fishing. Instead of bringing in line with other activities they killed any desire to even engage in it. Getting herbeus at skill lvl 100 9/10 times from the jungle to the north sea is a horrendous way to solve what really is a vendor price issue...
