nah I got no prepatch. I lost 1 set. Made some post patch, but they lowered the pierce and raised weight, so I haven't even fucked w/ it. Waiting, hoping that they fix it so I can make more.

But my point was that you said draco is shit and it wasn't... vs pierce. Steel iron fur is wack vs pierce. This is why I liked the idea of different armor types.

Reg steel draco w/ a high tier silk would be good enough to suppress bow fire as well, but you are not wrong that bow dmg is high atm, but that's why we had an anti-pierce armor. It almost makes sense haha.

Well bows have armor pierce and weakspot so armors arent even that good vs bows.

they work. Defensive stance seems to lower weak spot well. Armor does matter, too. Bows don't have armor pierce afaik, that is a clade skill.

It is probably shitty, but when people say wildly ignorant shit, it offends me and I wanna be like NO, but in some cases, it is better to just wait until people realize what I was trying to say by themselves. So, we come to 'bow dmg is high,' and it is, but there was an option to build to resist... bows... daggers... spears... lances. Quite a portion of the game weapons, tbh.

I feel like the fact that you are a thur and veelas can kite you really impacts your ideas on game balance. In an ideal world, you would want the game to be deep, fun, and balanced. That's what I want.

and yes Alvarins being overpowered does impact everyones perspective on balance to a point where we cannot even discuss most other balancing before nerfing them. Like 1h axes might be secretly OP but because they never hit Alvarins they dont get their full potential. This was a random example not that I am claiming they are op or will be just first weapon that came to mind


Pierce defense is the worst defense on armors because pierce damage has the most ways to go through armor and it has the most ways to be countered (down parry counters almost all pierce damage) outside bow users who again weakspot and armor pierce.


If you had 180 points to allocate to an afmof to make it as strong as possible you'd wanna do something like 80 blunt 80 slash 20 pierce and just parry down most the time meele wise. Having no blunt makes you a flopper to all weapons having no slash to most including spears/daggers coz they can spam rights now.

Old Draco had horrible stat set and was a troll armor.

It's the longbow and longbow arrows stacking tbh. I just recently tested a longbow at max veela strength and I was hitting for about 60~75 with weakspot headshots on bandits. I swapped to long bow arrows and I was no shit hitting for 30 more damage. The longbow arrows are broken.

I understood your every point. Old draco was still shit and needed a rework. Could it be done better? Sure everything could. But it is way better. A simple 51 67 65 instead of 51 66 66 would be better but either way its good and I always wear its chest and arms coz they look too cool for me before the change I only wore merc plate like all the footies did LOL.

I don't think you understand what I am saying at all, but I did think of one thing.

You said pierce damage is much less important. Tin Knight was lighter than Merc and had higher blunt and slash.

I really would love to discuss shit with you, but I don't think it's possible. I think I am making a point that is more abstract than what you are talking about, but I keep thinking of these things, like Tin Knight stats, that might reach you and help you understand all damage types are important in situations.

That's the idea of the game, you should be making decisions and you should be able to build however you want.

If you wanted 65 / 65 / 20 (pierce) armor, you should be able to have it imo. If it's broken, then they adjust the stats, but they don't just sell out and normalize.

I only read what OP said, but I agree with the sentiment. The main reason I don’t play anymore is that combat feels… Goofy? Like whoever is faster is also weaker and so any attempt at combat with equally skilled players end up in trades and the faster player running and healing while the slower player stays in place and heals. Even as a lean dagger mage sheevra this is always what it came down to. Hit a couple spells > dagger dagger dagger > take a hit > reset. Granted, when I was playing lean dagger mage sheevra I had a leg up on just about everyone in 1v1 and if the opponent didn’t have the ability to lesser heal I would easily out heal them and end up whittling them down over the course of a 5 minute fight. Idk it just feels weird and goofy. I want fight to move faster. If I take a sword to the face I should die. It I hit someone with two fireballs and three shanks to the side they should die.
