I guess the best way for you to understand it would be this.

What is your greatest accomplishment in MO history? What have you done to influence the world? You can post it or you can just call it to mind.

You are speaking with people who have done a lot of 'influencing' the greater game landscape, and, at its core, I believe we all wish there was more of that in MO2.

I still think MO is the closest to what I want in a game, but they have neutered it, and the fact that they refuse to make what I feel are necessary changes is what bothers me the most. I am not as bothered by unkept promises as others cuz I never really bought into that shit anyway.

Peace tho and stop trolling, learn to listen and, at times, take an L when you are out of pocket haha.
that's a fallacy and completely irrelevant.

I am also more known than all of you combined in current mo2 scope, and not only due to discussions if that is truly what you care about (I don't)

You are the one trolling, I am literally responding to each and every argument you make, they are fallacious and backed by nothing.

Like this comment you just made does not interact with what I said AT ALL.

it does, cuz it is a real world example of what we are talking about. This is your biggest problem, you can read things and for the most part comprehend them (tho you do skip over parts that aren't convenient for you,) but you seem unable to take knowledge and apply it elsewhere.

I didn't say anything about you being known. I said what have you DONE. How have you influenced the world? Did you get mastery 100? You know, I used to play Black Desert a bit and had some fun. People would post videos of them farming for an hour. The metric was like silver per hour, and they would be displaying speed run level skills, dashing between mobs, doing everything as perfectly as possible. That was awesome, and I respected their skill, but did their action impact the greater landscape of the game? No, it didn't.

I feel like I could probably lead you, step by step, to the conclusion of what I have been trying to say, but I feel that you would drag your feet like you do every other time you get to a point you do not like.

Short words:

YOU WANT COMBAT BALANCE. YOU WANT TO HAVE A FIGHT THAT, ONCE ALL PARTIES ARE COMMITTED, NO ONE CAN DISENGAGE FROM. Very noble points, and most people agree with you.

I (WE) WANT A WORLD THAT SHIFTS BASED ON OUR ACTIONS. Not what our loot luck bonus is depending on the outpost we hold, but the whole game. For me, I can play another game if I don't want that.

Hidden within your posts is the same thing I have been saying, but you are either too obtuse or you are being disingenuous. You say people want small scale and not zerg. Me, too.

Imagine NOT being an ant. We were not ants. The game was different. We want that again. :)

Your comment is the most delusional, insecure, and arrogant thing I’ve seen in a long time. The fact that you proclaim yourself "much more well-known" makes me laugh and actually moves me. You’re just a poor kid. You don’t know a thing. A lot of people are laughing at you right now. Please, I beg you, don’t humiliate yourself any further. It’s too uncomfortable to watch, haha.

You ignored most of what I said though.

Either way it’s apples and oranges.

We are saying that the game is missing core sandbox elements that make it a living and functional game.

You are saying that literally all the games problems boil down to elves and the pop would be over 9000 if it wasn’t for those pesky elves

One of these is obviously the radical idiotic and illlogical position.

Again the game was dog ass when it was thursar online and making it thursar online again is not going to fix anything.

We are conceding that the combat probably has an effect. You however are stating that it is the only issue. You are the unreasonable one.

It does not matter what you want.

What matters it what works, and my propositions work based on other games in the genre and even history of this game.

You were ants, noone but select few knows or remembers you even if you did some thing you think is grandiose.

I want general game balance not just combat.

And balance is mandatory, your fantasies arent.

Again, this does not interact with the actual topic of the forum.

I want balance because balance is needed not because I am worth more than you are so my opinion matters more.

Other mmorpgs and games in general prove this, and so does history of this game.

You are being egoistical and trying to big bro me with 0 frame.

I did not ignore anything relevant that you said.

Thursar meta had worse performance, much less content and 6x the pop LOL.

It was objectively better even if you personally do not prefer it because you are an Alvarin abuser.

And Thursar meta was not perfect either, we could have much better combat and general game balance wirh analytics and it will help the game more than anytjing else balance related as it suffers from balance issues the most.

Literally noone said all problems are elves, you are strawmaning me heavily.

You fuys keep underestimating balance in games because THE META SUITS YOU

If the only playable race was a cyclops with a club and you just hit each other in the head till one dies you wouldnt play, many wouldnt play.

Well 75% dont play now because only 1 in 4 is viable.

And that snowballs to less and less.

All the big games spam balancing for a reason

1500 isnt impressive? LMAO

Albion has millions
If they hypothetically fixed ALL the problems they wouldn't max out at 1500, what makes you think the game being 1500 means it solved all it's problems.
IT HAD 1400 DURING THURSAR META WITH A SUB, CRASHING IN EVERY ZVZ FIGHT AND 1 DUNGEON NO SARDUCCA LMAO!?!??!

You guys refuse to read the fact im saying, you sound like actual NPCs.

Yes jsut making the meta not ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE for 75% of potential players would make it 1500-2000 easily.
The meta is absolute misery and not attracting anyone.

Listen, you seem like a decent guy. But the fact that you claim MO1 was always dead disqualifies you from having a valid opinion. That comment alone proves you are completely ignorant of this community's history—which began two decades before you even started playing—and renders you incapable of offering an informed opinion on the game's state. Okay, fine—let's assume that nonsense you're talking about is even remotely relevant to, say... 15 MO2 newbies. Do you really think the serious, deep-seated issues in this project's evolution have anything to do with that? The answer is NO.
Now, as someone who has been here far longer than you (decades), let me educate you on our history.
No, MO1 wasn't always dead. There was a time when it was teeming with life and players. There were aggressive guilds and epic wars; the whole place was alive. Despite the game's limitations, the economy was vibrant and wealthy, and every day presented a challenge for old-school merchants. Tens of thousands of gold coins changed hands daily, and hundreds of weapons (literally) were crafted and used. There were battles, skirmishes, sieges, and politics—everything felt alive. You know nothing about that because you didn't live through that era, but I did. The only thing even remotely similar—though still a far cry from it—was the MO2 launch, but to be frank, that was short-lived and a disaster. Furthermore, as someone who bridged the gap between both games, was present from day one of the MO2 combat alpha, and spoke with Henrik practically every week, I have a much deeper insight into this community and the problems that ruined this project—a project I enthusiastically supported for nearly two decades. And let me assure you... I’m not even the oldest hand here; I know people who were involved in the very early development of MO1. I’m not saying this to brag; I’m trying to educate you. I know you think you know the game, but you don't know a thing. You're just a kid complaining and spouting opinions about things you know absolutely nothing about. But fine, I'll grant you this: maybe you're right. If they make the change you're asking for... maybe we'll get 15 more players for... 3 weeks.
Feel better now? lol

Whenever you want to have a serious conversation about the reasons behind the total disaster that is Mortal Online, and want to learn more about our history, drop me a line—I'd be happy to educate you. And now, if you'll excuse me, I've got food cooking. Stay humble, my friend; you're just a guest in a world much older than you are. And please respect Teknique. He is a legend.
Ruben Ibarruri was one of the biggest names in MO1 history. He was in charge of a major bank across Myrland, I even came across one of his mining installations up in the mountains during my travels, which I thought was impressive that I even made a video to showcase it.

The problem with MO2 isn't singular, the Alvarin being overpowered is one of them, for sure. But compared to the many stagnant, structural issues, like cool features (eg. temperature and invasion spawns) not working because they had been disabled and never turned back on afaik; the stale, repetitive grind; missing important features that defined what MO was to many people (eg. thievery); slow pace of development, etc etc. All these are the root cause of why I think many people simply don't believe MO2 is living up to what they had hoped it would be.

But for me, the caravan campsites were probably the last straw. I made an absolute stink about it, because of the name and what it represented in my mind. But that's another story...

You’re really funny; you remind me of an eight-year-old at a meeting of adults, screaming and kicking to get attention.
Then I’d sit you on my lap, stroke your head, and say, "Okay, big boy, everything’s going to be fine—we’re all listening to you."
You’re funny. But it’s okay, man. You’re a big boy. No worries.

You are being egoistical and trying to big bro me with 0 frame.

you weren't even there for the first installment of this game.

I am 'big broing' you because you are making an ass out of yourself.

I didn't wanna be known; I wanted to do things in the shadows, and it was fun.

Sounds like some serious ant rage

MORE DISTILLED POINT:

THERE IS A GAME. Let's say combat in this game is a game. It is a game within a game.

THERE IS A META-GAME. Not meta as in the builds you find online, but as in the greater scope of the whole game and how it comes together. THE META GAME IS IMBALANCED. It is arguably MORE IMBALANCED than the combat game.

I dunno if this will make sense to you, but if you say one race and two builds (counting MA) are overwhelming the game, that actually proves the game is very one dimensional. That proves the meta game is ass. You are talking about one aspect of the greater issue WE are talking about, and you can't fucking see it and keep beating your head against the wall.

Well, I hope all of these views and replies make someone worthwhile see this. I was not expecting it to devolve like this aiye.
