Just a though on idea for town building and building ideas
have 2 building types Housing and Utility building this is just to allow for certain interactions between buildings and the town centre
Town centre - This building determines an areaof influence that the owner has higher tier increases this radius of this influence.This building set permissions for building with in its area of influence aswell as stops other town centres being placed to close to it. Destroying this building will also destroy the influence zone aswell. Owner will be able to set permissions in the influence area to individual guilds, FFA with a KOS/Prevention list incase somone want to try building a free city for everyone). Players on the permission list can also aquir a key for all utility buildings in the area of influence
utility buildings
Church - This building provides a priest spawn for people
Stables - Provides a stable master
Grocer - Provide Grocer and equipment vendor
bank/vault - Provides a banker
Armory - Provides utility and the base weapons/armor vendor
barracks - Allows you to place/hire guards (that can be killed) how many and how strong is based on barracks level
Grinder/Extractors
treasury- Collects a portion of taxes from houses within the influence
All of the above is limited to 1 building in a zone of influence
Pastures -Allows animal breeding slot 2 animals in after a time baby pops out or what not dunno how u wanna do it in the future but here a thought
Farm - allows to grow various foods aka orchard/farmable resources such as barley/corn/fruit tree (Could make biomes be a thing here so a jungle fruit tree wouldnt produce much fruit in a plains) These food should generate over time not as fast as in the wild
marketplace/stall -allows for a vendor to sell a player item (not an AH) but like the old vendorin games where u put a few items in and set prices and peopel can check to see whats being sold and purchase them this just allows for indivual players to build and upkeep there own vendor over a local trading post
The above should be limited but more than 1
Palisade walls/Gate so u can wall off the area and only allow entrances via the open gates houses.
