Unable to create new character

I just recently re-installed MO2 and deleted my character to create a new one. I got through the whole process, and created done. Then it brings me back to character select without being able to play the character I just made. I can create a new one or log out. Any ideas? I've tried verifying files, I've tried logging off and on several times. I tried using directx12 and 11. Nothing seems to work.

I log in to find my tame is missing from the stable...took me an hour to tame this bear. I then try relogging and now my character not even there. I tried to create a new one and it let me, but when I finished it, no new character and cannot escape this loop.
really questioning if I want to spend more time on this game.

Now it won't even let me log in anymore. My account is completely jacked up.
