I should not be able to kill someones heavily armored horse in 4 or less quick arrows.

But I do...it seems a bit broken.. even in pvp encounters where I die....i usually still kill their horse.

I never played MO1 so im not sure if this is just inteded game design, if my max str Oghmir with longbow just hits to hard or if horse armor is just useless. I feel like they should at least be able to tale 5-10 hits..at minimum.

Max Str bows (120+) are an anomaly. If they wanna fix them by nerfing the curve, that's cool, but generally bows vs mounted aren't bad imo.

People are still mad at mounted, but the core problem is not addressed. It's not that mounted is especially strong, they just have way less risk in most situations. Just like you said if they commit to killing you, you can prol get their horse regardless. But if they take that first pop and are like welp not gonna risk it, they can dip out and look for a softer target. So... I mean all things considered, it's not THAT BAD. They are still gonna be powerful vs people who aren't jacked; I still think mounted should be balanced vs mounted and used mainly for protecting yourself while transporting/ganking transports.

Prol 75+% of people in the game are soft targets to a MA w/ a good horse and gear. They just made it so that they have to avoid the real deal foot fighters or people w/ massive bows. It's not the ideal situation, but of all the shit SV has done, this is one of the closer things to balance IMO lol I know people don't wanna hear it, but that's how I feel.

How else can you really counter the fact that a mounted can choose when to fight vs foots. Sure you can get robin-hooded while riding by, too, but that doesn't seem like something that would really happen. Adding some risk to the playstyle is good. There is never gonna be a good balance between foot and mounted. Maybe having them just go their separate ways is good. I dunno.
