I heard a rumor that some old MO1 veterans are organizing a return to the original game.

Since MO2 is complete garbage and utterly uninteresting, I was pleasantly surprised to hear about this project.
A couple of players have even contacted me.

If anyone wants to organize a project to bring the old community back to MO1, I'd love to help in any way I can.
I'm just a sick old man now, but I'd be more than willing to help with materials and resources for any guilds that want to come back home.

It would be nice to have one last trip to our old home.

Its an impressive milestone and I completely support the ambition behind expanding the world. Delivering a brand-new landmass is no small feat and you have to applaud the sheer scale of what’s been built.
that said the current migration is definitely... something to observe. the absolute stampede to the new shores has certainly created a vibrant community experience inside the queues while leaving Myrland to enjoy the quiet undisturbed tranquility of a complete ghost town. Im not fundamentally opposed to this shift in scenery, but the dynamic does invite a rather familiar feeling

we’ve watched this exact trajectory play out before with certain massive industry titans -the kind heavily populated by shoulder-padded, green-skinned factions. expansion is a natural goal, but blindly following the exact developmental footprints of those global monoliths comes with a very specific, well-documented trap

Its a strange paradox when you push so relentlessly into the "new" that, eventually, your only viable move is to literally roll back the clock and release a vanilla,"classic" version just to recapture the soul of the world you abandoned
I genuinely love the momentum and the new direction. Let’s just hope that in the rush to build tomorrow, we don't eventually find ourselves having to desperately resurrect yesterday.
