My Mind
I have suggested this before - on these forums, on reddit, on Discord. Might as well continue.

We need more NPC's. Places like Pig Farm and Tindrem Orchard have established infrastructure and worth to Myrland's unspoken lore economy.

Give us NPCs that populate these and other like areas. Even if it is just as simple as having a Blue variant of Bandits, named Farmers / Gatherers / Villagers that patrol around or do idle animations. They could give rep loss on kills and offer similar loot to Bandits, offering more PvE options to outlaws.

Specifically, for Pig Farm:
  • Add in an 'Old Priest', that is aligned to the Tindremic Provinces.
    • The 'Old Priest' variant of Priest has a 1hr CD per account on resurrections, simply because they are limited in their energy.
    • It also cannot be teleported to using the ' Priest' function while dead.
    • -
  • Add in a 'Storage Assistant' at one of the buildings.
    • This would function as a normal bank, but only with 10 slots.
    • -
  • Add in a 'Farm Owner' (or named) NPC that is the 'head' of the area.
    • They would function as an Equerry that only has one slot.
    • They would also offer dialogue that explains their farm and the various NPC there.
      • "Welcome to XXX, don't hurt our animals or the Farmers will chase you off and I'll report you to the officials."
      • -
    • Have them tell you about the nearby Bandits (they exist in various areas nearby already), and ask you to deal with them.
      • It would open a shop that sells Pitchforks & Produce in exchange for Bandit Heads.
      • -
  • Add in roaming 'Farmer' NPC's, that function like a Bandit / Guard.
    • They would be Blue, and incur rep loss on kill.
    • They would use a 'Pitch Fork' which could be looted, along with some gatherables and pocket silver.
      • The Pitch Fork would be the same deal as a Sator Spear, but weaker and remodeled.
      • -
  • Have some Livestock Animals that wander the grounds and that are in the pens.
    • They would be Blue, and killing them would incur rep-loss and aggro nearby farmers.
    • -

Using that as a template, many small areas around the map could be updated to be semi-functional outposts that let the players spread out and live in the world + have more fun wandering and discovering things. Immersion factor would go up a lot, too.

The world would be less ' empty ', there would be players more frequently dotted around, and interaction while travelling would increase.
