Old Guard was originally a mounted combat focused group. Made by a small group of friends that met in a previous guild way back in beta. We used to roam around and not reside in any particular spot, being more of a nomadic guild. Old Guard soon settled in Meduli, having made ally ship with the guilds of the Coalition, and Meduli was where most of the population was based.
With the new found ally ship with the Coalition, Old Guard was the lucky guild that got to hold Spider Valley (Land Fall) Keep. Since Old Guard acquired a keep we have changed our focus from a mainly mounted guild. We are now a fully fledged guild that requires all roles.
There has been some rough patches in the past and It caused a lot of leaders/members to go AWOL, or leave and do their own thing. There was talk of throwing it all away and returning to a nomadic style guild. However not many people wanted to do that. So we are still a fully fledged guild, and still holding Spider Valley Keep. With the recent events I just mentioned, we have had a total rework of our hierarchy and policies, To provide more transparency and a clear goal. We did not want to give up that Keep location, We believe it is one of the best Keeps in the game. It has 4 horse spawns nearby, Salvia, Spider Queen, access to the Jungle and everything in the Jungle. With a Jungle Troll, and Calx nearby, Tagmaton’s all around which is a good source of armor materials.
Our primary goal is to have fun together. As part of the Meduli coalition, we defend this area with our allies, and fight to keep it RPK/griefers free. We want to make a name for ourselves, a name that will garner respect from allies and enemies alike. Our other long term goals include being a self sufficient guild, being able to defend our valley and our allies lands. Expanding our name to every continent, and becoming the best in every aspect of the game.
