Murder Counts really need to do more than sit inside a character and tick down.

As it is now, murder counts are acquired by a character, and there's no reprecussions for associating with the murderer.

People will still get blue characters to work around this some how, but there needs to be a degree of consequence for playing as a murderer. It should absolutely be the most difficult way to play. it shouldn't just be "well I'm the best melee in a 5 km zone" degree of difficulty. It should be like how a murderer would be treated.

Guilds with murderers should slowly have their guild member murder counts duplicate into their guild mates. This could be seen as the authorities taking notice that a certain guild is harboring murderers. So if a guild had a player in it with 1000 murders, there would be some formula by which "Guild" is applying murders to all members. Enter into an alliance with a guild that has a guy with 1000 murders. Same exact effect.

Allow containers with well known passwords to be able to "disable access for murderers". Then when you enable access for murderers, and they use it, a few murders from that person duplicates into the guild, and distribute to every member. If it's a single player, same concept. Trade with a red? Well, we have magical spiritism ressurection where we report something free willy nilly. Well now the supreme tindremic spiritists have detected you traded with a red. Get like 5% of his counts to a minimum of 1.

Essentially, give everything the option to give "access to murderers". And when murderers access it, or if murderers are in your guild, allow the counts to multiply around. This will create a system where guilds can go red if they choose to play with reds. And it makes sense, because the guild is harboring a player that is red.Accomplish the same system with reputation.

Right now, people just "guild up" to go red without much consequence. Their blues provide. Their blues grey up to fight without consequence. They red bait.

Sure, reds should have the physical opportunity to city amenities. Those are available in Kranesh. I argue elsewhere that Kranesh is basically a vendor-bank only city due to how easy it is for coordinated murder-harborers to back-up, or in the case of some cities, basically own the area. When reds are forced to play as red, for real, red brokers will begin to have supplies.
