Having a hard time getting more than 30-40 FPS even on low video settings.

Can we have something to get me back in the 50-60 range like it was in UE4? Turn off all the extra lighting and UE5 stuff, lower textures or something?

Might be that fewer people are playing than could be because it's hard to get FPS in this game, lots of details, long draw distances for a map, and such.

I remembered one of the things World of Warcraft had going is that you could play on a so-so computer it didn't take a high-end graphics card.

edit: Could've afforded the sub, but a new computer is too much lol. Can we have a setting that significantly lowers the Minimum System Requirements, so people with older pcs can get 60 FPS always?

They removed the option to lower settings for higher frames on purpose because it forced all the sweaty try hards into lowest possible resolution/settings for an edge in combat.

You basically used to get punished, and handicapped, for using higher video settings. Henrik didnt like that people were forced to make his game look like shit to maximize frames (all the youtube videos looked like ass), so he removed the option.

Thats why now days you get very little frames difference from selecting different graphic settings. The drawback of this is that now you get punished for having a lower end computer. You want higher frames? You have to buy a better pc.

To be honest, I don't see myself as any different than those people you describe, lowering graphics to just get playable FPS, cause if you aren't going to win until its like that then there should be a setting for it.

Then people who can afford a nice looking game cause they have a 5,000$ computer can enjoy turning up Ue5 !

Haha

edit: Probably about foliage and fog/weather. Because people would turn that off if they could to see opponents. Maybe there's something else that's not needed Henrik could focus on and let people remove to just get more fps?

What a genius business idea from Heinrik, lets make the niche game even more niche by gatekeeping graphics! Now not only do you need alot of free time to roam for hours for pvp, but you also need to be rich already to afford a RTX 5090 Super Ti.

Get a job you say? Well gl playing mortal with 1-2 hours free time a day...
