I have been able to run the game on Manjaro with Linux Kernal 5.9 thru 5.11.6-1.

I have run the game with Proton Experimental with flawless results. The servers shut down on me when I was going to try 5.13, but at this point I'm sticking with experimental.

I have been using the steam launching option -force-opengl

I have the nvidia driver 460.56

Awesome work on MOII's end & them folks over at Steam Proton division & what ever goes on in the

linus is nit for gaming. if you are such harcore linux fan, make a virtual machine or dual boot.

linux is for working, not for gaming.

Good job, but looks like character shaders are missing, considering the game runs by default in DX12, some of them are not working properly in OpenGL?

What was the performance ? I had tried MO2 on Arch few months ago, but performance was 1/3 of that on Windows10. I have GTX1060, and this GPU is already very stressed playin this game.

I am running game on Fedora 33 (RX 480 and veeery old i5 CPU, 24 GB RAM), and it actually runs flawlessly (aside from performance point which is fully caused by my ancient setup - still getting 45-50 fps out of town) . I was very surprised it it simply ran out of box - I used default Proton and did absolutely nothing besides hitting 'Play'. I really hope this will be the case for the future too, as MO1 player for quite some time many years ago, I would love to dive in again.

Also big lol @ dude explaining about how Linux is for work. He probably comes from year 2010. My main activity is gaming (95% of my PC time), and I am on Linux exclusively for last almost 4 years (exclusively meaning no dualboot, passthrough, whatever involving running Windows).
