Haven Arena matchmaking for 5v5, or whatever number.

How it works:
Players can go to an NPC in the town square and queue up for a 5v5 (or 10v10, whatever) arena match that pools player from all the Haven instances, with whatever gear they have on. There is already max skills and gear you can have, so it would be fair whatever way you look at it, unless you choose to go in naked (why would you)

teams are randomly assigned. if its 5 footies vs 5 mages, oh well, good luck to both sides. maybe they can code something that picks up on who is a mage and who is a footie based on their current skills to balance the teams just a little. and maybe they can match-make similar pings together to help balance.

only thing i dont understand is if multiple servers are needed to host each arena match or not?

thats it.

this arena mode would save the game. the only con is that it might pull people off of myrland to queue up for fun random basic Haven fights all day. MO2 has great group fights. thats a lot of the fun. you gotta give new players a taste of the group fights inside of Haven. that will make them want to level their mages up to all the other spells in the game. it will encourage footies to go into Myrland and grind for better materials.

i had somebody tell me in Nave chat that you should just have real players organize that type of thing... but thats a joke. you need an easy one click matchmaking system, opening you up to all the different players in Haven. A new player isnt going to know who to talk to on discord or want to search for that kind of thing on their own.

since Haven already has a gear cap, its going to be fair fighting, and we all know MO2 could use some straight up fair fights. it would definitely grow the player base and help keep them interested long-term.
