Currently you ride N and tree makes your horse turn to E and continue in that direction.
With lets say 100 controlled riding your horse could turn back towards N with up to 10 degree deviation. With skill at 0, your horse either wouldn't try to hold the course (current solution) or would only very slightly turn towards the original direction.
