1. The only reliable way to heal pets is with magic and this hinders build variety.
My suggestion is that your pets should benefit from your active/passive regeneration if close to you and this effect should scale with your veterinary skill. You can simply sit down and rest with your pets. This opens up for example pure hunter builds with archery + pets but no magic.
2. Every pet lvl requires the same amount of exp. This is not in line with the other leveling systems in the game and it takes low lvl pets too much time to be impactful.
I suggest this be changed to an exponential system so low lvl pets level faster. This would make sense from a pet training perspective and give an overall better feel to the pet leveling experience. Newer players that just tamed their first pet will also find it much more rewarding and fun if the pet levels faster.
