On the flip side, everyone who PvPs regularly-- unless they spend half their time out farming Risars, or remake their characters regularly-- is Red. This is due to the fact that there is no guild war system in game, so you have these rat guilds that sit in town all day discovering who the red players are and then they kill them. This wouldn't be as easy if the reds could defend themselves, but there is no 'local grey' system and so if the reds defend themselves, the guards kill them. So 2 big features that are huge QoL improvements are the Guild War and local grey flagging system. Right now the "meta" for these beta(male) guilds is simply attacking reds in town, essentially a form of griefing rather than actual PvP.
Everyone who regularly engages in group fights is red unless they spend a boring amount of time farming Risars, or they have the luxury of remaking their character (either they have a surplus of free time or they haven't read a good number of crafting books). This is the current content of the game.
"blue blocking" would be resolved if a guild war system was in place. Additionally, everyone who isn't a noob is red (or has been) and therefore vulnerable to this stupid griefing system. Without local grey, your options are to run or die. Rarely does anyone who attacks reds in town have the balls to continue the fight outside of town, out of guard range.
I think adding these features and improving the flagging system should be a big priority for this stage of the game. Really, it should be the biggest goal for the next patch, along with fixing the horse-mesh glitches that occur when you run between nodes.
