Make bounty hunting far easier and less random chance bullshit.

When Murderers are reported after player resurrects, they get incremented in a list. Once their murder count crosses over 5, they appear on available bounties. Bounty hunters can pay to get any name on that list they want scribed to their bounty hunting license. Max number of names on your license is dependent on level of license you have. Paying to have someones name added to your license removes a murder increment from their name. If they are at 5, and you pay to add their name to your license, they are now at 4 in the system and nobody else can add them unless they commit another murder. You now have the sole license to kill on that player.

Once a player has been killed by a bounty hunter and their murder count is less than 5, their name auto removes from the license.

Bronze license: allows up to 5 names on it, costs 5 gold
Silver license: allows up to 10 names on it, costs 15 gold
Gold license: allows up to 25 names on it, costs 50 gold
Oghmium license: allows up to 50 names on it, costs 125 gold

Licenses drop on death. But are only useable by original owner. Maybe have some place where murderers can turn these in for profit in red towns?

Get rid of dumb crow heat sink mechanism. This is stopping the bounty hunting system from being fully realized, due to the obvious game breaking abuse it would introduce to a functional bounty hunting system.

*EDIT* Ah, I did neglect to mention that there would be no reward for killing said bounties. So not abusable. This is more to solve the criminal system and give players the necessary tools to self police their immediate areas or move in on an area and police it. Players could pay other players to police an area, and this could be the way a bounty hunter would make money. Player driven shit is gooooood

Cool. But how will you find them if not the bird? World is pretty massive to just be hoping you run into the murderer. Though esp crows might be over kill.

What stops friends just putting their murderer friends on their license and farming them in the system you've described. You need to consider ways to mitigate against this issue for any kind of bounty hunting system to work.

On top of that they remove a count and keep others from being able to get the bounty.

I would agree that it would be nice to have a list to pick from of current killers in the area though. At least then you could more easily target a known troublemaker in your area.

The idea is that you would choose murderers in your area, so you would see them in your own town and fuck them up. Or another player would pay you gold to take care of a problem in their area. License to kill.

Mabe the reward could be just visual. Bounty hunting medals to obtain special shields or cool looking weapon skins or whatever. Killing the same player over and over again should give no reward and bounties should be more local. Killing a naked should give no reward, so the opponent need to be geared up and wearing the same armor with the same Item ID should give no reward aswell. If you die the armor should loose up to 20 % Dura except in Keeps, so you can make group combat trainings inside the keep. Many new players think that noone want to defend them and that this game only have rpk Guilds, but this is not true. The bounty hunters are send to foreign far away towns, instead of getting regional contracts.
I agree with you that an improved bounty hunter mechanic could fix the criminal system and this should have high priority before Epic Release, becuase this is a core game mechanic to balance the ammount of RPK and Anti RPK Players !
