I have been experimenting with fishing and I have found no difference from fishing inside of town versus fishing outside of town. Has anyone conducted similar testing or knows what I might need to do differently?

What you might need to do differently to see a difference of fishing in a town vs not?

Yes. I have tried fishing inside of town and outside of town. I see no difference in what I am catching and at what frequency I am catching between the two.

That is the result then, and I would conclude there is no restriction being inside the town if you find a fishing spot then usual parameters apply.

You can fish the same fish in a town that you can outside the town as long as it is the same pool of water meaning it'll have the same list of fish. But there are fish that you cannot catch while in town because said pool is not in a town or near a town
