They're extremely slow and have very little stamina. They get run down very easily. 1v1 anyone that can block well can survive a while but if you're getting pushed by multiple melee's you will get dusted pretty quick.

They are relevant, you have really high power spells, both when you want to damage enemies or heal friends. When you don't have a horse you are just more vulnerable cause you are very slow and with low stamina so you will not run away from your problems. You either solve them or succumb to them, no other option available. If this is ok for you, Fat Mages are super cool and fun to play.
If you play solo... well, there are easier build to play solo, it's not impossible to play a solo Fat Mage but is definitely not suggested.

and man in 134 int ?
if you wanna play a fat foot mage, I'd recommend at least going sheevra, at age 31 you can get 416 combat speed and still have 125 int+131 psyche, you can drop down to bulging and have 430 combat speed with 115 int/121 psyche

In a group that doesn't end up in a situation where you have to run, very strong. But generally not worth. You need to be able to outrun or at least run as fast as people who outnumber you.

If you plan to foot mage a fat mage, don't. Go for the chubby sheevra build. They ate decent in group on horse but generally an MA can kill a mounted mage.

How relevant are fat magicians (ogrims) without a horse? in pvp and pve

They are good for team play but the amount of people running hybrids makes most of your strengths obsolete.

Slow cast times mean that your epic damage won't be realised on anything but the toughest bosses because normal mobs will be dead before the cast completes. Preload helps but if your team aren't rushing through then you'll keep losing the preload while they fanny about.

In PvP you'll be primaried because you're easy to kill and the enemy can't let you free cast huge, unmitigated damage and/or heals.

It's a glass cannon. Great to see the numbers but be prepared to be a corpse for about 80% of the time.

Fat mages are only as good as their melee protectors. If your mates are amazing peelers then you’ll be a beast. If you have shitty peelers or your mates dont stick close to you, you’ll get focused down asap and die.
