Failings of MO1 and 2.... same story new graphics

MO1 and 2 have failed in the same ways. SV insists on putting every resource available for everyone pretty much every where. Aside from very niche resources like tephra or ironwood. You can find every resource within a 5-10min ride of every town in game, and in some cases inside the protected areas of that town. There is little to no reason to travel or really trade. Trade drives an economy, economy drives conflict, conflict drives trade. EVE Online understood this early in its development which is why they hired a guy who worked for the Icelandic Economic Commission to build their economy. They spread out resources to force trade for things.

Currently what is there to trade, molvas? Panthers? Terrorbirds? Please... as soon as breeding is in that dies with the rest of trade.

Myrland needs to have less resources spread out.. more points of contest for resources, not dungeons that are camped by RMT guilds, but resources in very specific spots that FORCE people to go there and either work together or fight it out.
