    Eh, they went tall instead of going wide. Wrong approach if UO is your blueprint. The skillgrind was never a big investment in UO, base pvp gear wasn't either. The grind was in the bling and housing.

    Was it really that special? At it's best it's mediocre game with full loot being it's only saving grace. The rest that is either copied over from better MMO's like UO in the skill and build system or just doesn't work and/or is pure tedium like TC.

    Contrary to MO2 the people behind UO were actually competent and understood what made the game special. You can't just whip up some assets into a barebones version of something that could be an MMO and then run it like a private server and expect success.

    Because they can't make any money streaming MO2 since the audience for the game is miniscule. You can expect streamers that top at 2 digits to spend money on MO2.
