    Yah I see your point. Same time you gotta take in to account, right now, the server holds PvP, PvE, and crafters. With a non-pvp server, human nature tells me all the non-pvp players will migrate off the pvp server. And that's the biggest drawback for me.

    Final fantasy 11 figured this out 20+ years ago. Let players make different builds they can swap to on the same character. Just put a cooldown on it and require using a priest. Having a system that doesn't allow for experimentation or simply punishes you because your build isn't as fun/viable...

    Limit the amount of arrows people can carry to 50ish Still retains it's power, but limits the ability to cheese PvE and has a risk/reward in PvP.

    Certainly not an ideal situation. Not sure its even going to solve things. Players aren't going to be thrilled feeling like they are forced to play the handicapped instances or sit in a queue.

    Hey Seb. Yeah makes sense. I do prefer the buy+sub model. Release is generally the biggest exposure point, especially for a game with no marketing. Would imagine they'd want to attract as many as possible out of the gate but maybe they prefer a steady trickle vs a mass influx.

    The 1 house per account made sense when housing spots were pre-set and limited in number. If they are going to have free placement again, there shouldn't be a hard cap. Design the system in a way that it's naturally limiting, not arbitrarily.

    I'd imagine keeping MO1 servers up during initial development was far more detrimental to MO2 then it would be post launch. Even then I'm not understanding this pervasive assumption that MO1 in maintenance mode takes anything away from MO2.

    If I'm understanding the mechanics, once a group engages the queen the room is blocked off. That is effectively an instance if no other group can enter the room or interfere. Keep gates is a terrible analogy, nothing alike.
