POLITICS: TNO Vs Omerta

Bakti village was normally peaceful. Thus today, trouble had come from the northern regions. A group called Omerta were cutting down innocent citizens who made their living cleaning the heads of the dead. For weaker travelers who could not handle bandit veterans, a zombie head was considered good coin. Twenty heads could feed a Khurite family. A hundred heads could buy you a months stay in the inn; with free meals included. Mages often found the reagents they dropped to be more profitable than the heads, so you would surely find them in the graveyards looting corpses often.

Qaiten, a young Oghmir, Commander of The Noble Ones, was doing his daily patrol near the graveyard, when a few Omerta bandits shot arrows at his horse nearly killing it. The lad hurried back in town to rally reinforcements. The Sidoian Beastmaster Serverus and Lead Commander Aquagenix, the Thursar warrior came to aid Qaiten in the fray. Serverus and Aqua quickly took control of the conflict, observing the battlefield with years of experience. Qaiten was handy as well with a battle axe cutting through Omerta number with ease. Serverus ordered his Elder bear in the fray, Isabel, who nearly took down one of the mounted archers horses in two strikes. An Omerta grunt tried to fence Serverus but the Beastmaster was good with a sword; his parries were veteran status. The bandits panicked and some pulled back, leaving their leader to fend for himself. Aquagenix skillfully took the arms of one Omertan, disarming him...

"Please, I have a family!" the Omerta grunt cried.

Aquagenix did not hesitate. He took the Omertans head in a clean execution.

The leader whom was left, was skilled. Albeit he was no match for the Thursar warrior. Aquagenix challenged the leader to a fair duel; whoever wins would get to keep the others weapons and armor. It was a good fight. But in the end, the Omerta Leader was defeated; thus instead of taking his goods, Aqua let him keep his stuff. He displayed himself honorably, as a true Noble One. Omerta was pushed out of Bakti and the graveyard was deemed safe again.
