DISCLAIMER: Henrik has said himself, that he doesn't want to change Oghmir clades, that they are in a good place currently. I would argue that nothing is perfect and there is always some room for improvement. This is just an opinion suggestion, if it does not fit within the vision of the game, then it is perfectly acceptable to not see any future changes.
After playing Oghmir's and enjoying the class itself, I would like to point to some of the slight imperfections that could greatly benefit the character and potentially making it more fun to play. Adding more balance in the overall usages of the clade system, and increasing the playability of Oghmir's across the board. Of course this is just an Idea, and I will try to explain my reasoning behind the changes I would like to see for the class.
1. The Consume clades, should be merged together for the first base clade. Making the 1st clade 20% more consumed food. Most classes have very strong base clades, and having two of the same clade, doesn't benefit the build at all, just a wasted clade point. Merging these two clades allows for a new clade to fill that slot that could benefit the design of Oghmir.
2. The new clade slot can be replaced with a MOUNTED SKILL POINTS clade. Similar to the Human clade, but could be maybe 20 points instead. Oghmir's are INTENDED to be powerful mounted mages. (Currently there are ZERO mounted or magery clades that assist this logic). However, by having mounted skills increased, this would greatly improve the action points of the character that is already stretched thin. Every 10-20 points is an action point based on attributes, and since Oghmirs have to put MORE points into constitution to gain the HP that other characters get from height / weight , they lose these action points to only con. Adding a base of 15-20 points could significantly improve not only magery, but mounted archers and mounted combat builds. To utilize the High Strength, or High intelligence that comes from the Oghmir. Allowing them to spec into something like Balance, which improves mounted stability. This would solidify their power in the mounted field.
3. Under the Inhale clades, there is a discrepancy with the location of the Rock Solid clade, as if you are in a magic build, you have to clade into +3 Strength, to obtain it. Rock Solid is arguably the most important skill clade to have as an Oghmir and almost all Oghmir use it. A simple solution is to swap the clade with Armor Bearer skill. Since logically having more strength would allow you to carry more armor weight, as well as Rock solid coming from having a Strong Back. This swap wont effect almost all of the Oghmir builds, because a foot solider will most likely spec into all of these clades regardless. However, a mage would be able to save a clade point, that is otherwise wasted, and pull them further from wearing heavier armor without cladding into the strength clade. This makes it easier to access the mostly untouched crafting clades with the extra point, and might further "refine" other players builds.
Attached I will link an image of the current Clades, and a simple (paint edited) image of what it would look like with some slight adjustment. Feedback is always welcome.
