With the introduction of the new combat system there's a bug resulting in mages across Maryland accidentally self casting spells. Please fix this.
Here's how to reproduce it:
1. Cast/Charge a spell by using hotbar keybind.
2. Self cast the spell by using self cast keybind.
3. Charge an ecumenical spell by using hotbar keybind (optional if not ecumenical spell).
4. Cast a spell by using hotbar keybind.
Mages would like this sequence to cast the second spell at their target.
But this results in a self cast of the second spell.
Because the first spell cast was self targeted.
This is not desired behavior. This requires us to use the target cast keybind for all spells after self casting a spell.
Please by default target cast spells when using a hotbar keybind. My muscle memory is built this way with how self casting worked in the past.
If anyone mages disagree with this assessment let me know, but all mages I know don't like this and are hitting themselves as a result.
