I continue to see people in Haven. It waxes and wanes, but for a game with such a low pop, seeing the same people in haven running around and doing their thing is significant. These people need to be engaged!
I would love to see a way to pay new players in clade, both from cities and from guilds, so that people can make valuable gains in Nave upon arrival. Make it so you have to be yellow to get it, and maybe even put a limit on it, with the idea that after awhile, players should make their own networks.
The problem with Haven --> Nave is there is a huge drop off. I would say make it so that a town can put up buy orders for clade, and a guild as well. Maybe make it so that you have to actually engage with the tasks and go gather the stuff opposed to just dumping it from your storage, then make it so that you get small amounts of clade for even putting like 100 wood in. Like imagine the amount you'd get for equal time in the GY. 5 or something? Then you can add in tasks that require more, like say ironwood or gab / teph, and let them get filled, too.
Of course, there will be 'exploitation' by vets' alts, but it will still give an opportunity for new players to immediately find something to get real character progression and not be spawned into reality looking at how everything on the broker costs 10 gold and wondering how many fruits they have to pick to buy a set of gear.
Then the mats gained can go to the town ( put them up for sale ) or the guild.
On a second level, if possible, being able to use this money in ways that are not just dumping it to players would be awesome, like investment in areas, etc. Something that rewards a town / guild that is getting its tasks completed with overall better QoL.
I'll take my free lifetime sub now haha.
