I use Khurite Splinted

Plate scale from shore prowlers is quite good for light Armour.

And what would you use with it? Guard fur?

I personally use guard fur as it adds a fair amount of blunt defence which seems to be a prevalent damage type (axes, pole axes, heavy great blade)

What are the best materials for making light armor?

I use Khurite Splinted

Reptile carapace and ironwool seems to be pretty good stat wise with turtles added. Much stronger defenses than plate scale and a bit lighter than using guard fur. Until crocodiles are added and we get Pansar this might be the best option.

*Ironwool can be found in direwolves but you need to get the lore from Jungle Camp.
