Farming and Ranching would be great since it would open up more playstyles and variety in the roles each player has within MO2.
With Farming the player can build gardens or fields, plant crops, and increase their farming skill.
Crop yield would be based on farming skill, and relevant material lores.
Ranching would give tames uses outside of combat... Players could build a ranch and place their tames inside the ranch similar to stables... With the only difference being you can actually see the animal roam about inside the ranch.
The player can then collect products from animals such as wool from sheep and such, milk from cowlike animals, eggs from chickens, turtles, and basically any animal that could be considered an egg layer, silk from spiders, horns from springboks, and so forth.
Players could also breed and slaughter animals for more materials.
Ranch yield would be based on ranch skill, relevant material lore, zoology, and even beast mastery.
The reason I said the animals would actually roam about inside the ranch is too make things a bit more difficult, providing targets for red players and bandits to occasionally spawn in.
