I am completely new to the game - so I have no idea, if this is a thing or not.. But..
I came up with an idea that might work good.
Its basically about 3 stances, that player can switch between..
1) left hand block, right hand attack
2) right hand block, left hand attack
3) no block, both hand attack
Then there is a lot of space to play around:
1) cooldown between switches of stances or without
2) if blocking with right hand – incoming attacks from left side do more dmg and vice versa
3) mb model of „stronger hand“ - if right handed – attacks with left hand do less dmg..
Its all about what fits the best into game design. I just came with this idea and I really have no idea if it was worth to share, but why not to try it right?
