I really want to know who thought it was fair to let mages charge a spell, and then pocket it AND have it be hitscan.
So, how do you avoid that then?
They can just sprint around and wait for the right moment, and fire the spell.
Arrows? You can avoid them, they're projectiles. They have to visibly charge it, and they drain stam whilst maintaining the charge.
Melee attacks? You can avoid them by simply moving away from the weapon. Again, their charging is visible, and they're reduced to melee range.
Magic? Oh, just charge it, then you can sprint around and do whatever you like, and then just shoot the spell when it is convenient, with no penalty.. Oh, and your magic is hitscan, so as long as your cursor is over them, and you're in range, that is a certain hit... Like.. What??
Ecu spells? You literally cannot avoid them unless the person aiming makes a mistake (which leads to massive aimbotting problems too btw; YES, aimbotters are real, if you don't believe me, try going to Meduli dungeon and disrupting their flux botting operation, they'll turn their aimbots on to deal with you; i've reported them many times, and no bans) . Why do such strong abilities, that bypass armor, get a free pass?
ALL magic should work like elementalism, where after the charge, it has to be fired. It is WAAAAAY too easy for mages right now. The majority in this game should be melee fighters, but now it is like more people play mages than melee.. It is ridiculous.
Henrik talked about not buffing archery because everyone would just use bows.. But for some reason, mages get a free pass? Come on.
Make it more skill dependent.. As it is, it is too low IQ friendly.
I say this as someone who has a mage.. I know how broken it is. Most people are just too dishonest to tell when they use something broken, because it actively goes against them.
Mage damage is fine, keep it as it is, but their aiming is too broken, their tower shields are too broken.. Please fix.
