Mastery Reset should be included in the Character Reroll Token

Currently, using a paid Character Reroll Token only resets basic attributes and appearance. However, players are still required to pay significant amounts of gold to reset individual Masteries within their skill trees.

Why it’s illogical:

  1. Broken Concept: A "Full Reroll" implies a fresh start. If a player switches from a Warrior to a Mage, their old combat Masteries become useless, but they are forced to farm gold just to fix a build they already paid to reset.
  2. Paywall + Gold Sink: Charging both a paid token and in-game gold for the same transition feels like an unfair double penalty.
  3. New Player Experience: This creates a massive barrier for players who want to experiment with different playstyles using the reroll system.
The Suggestion: Make the Character Reroll Token include a one-time free reset for all Masteries. This aligns the product with the "Full Reroll" concept and makes the transition between builds seamless and fair.

Thanks

The big issue in the clade and mastery reroll is losing primary points! This means if you are not prepared by removing primary points manually before you are staring to reroll, you will lose "random" primary points.

I wasted probably 15k gold on mastery rerolls due to changing footie>hybrid>footie>hybrid etc. Its like 3k gold each time and rhe fact that the 500g thing resets if you remove it is criminal but yeah I can imagine how bad it is going from Thursar footie to idk Human MM tamer and having to redo every single thing 10k gold part of the reason we see 0 build variery, the biggest one beinf Alvarins being OP and them nerfing off meta picks intentionally. Classless mmorpg my ass got like 3 builds lmao

I completely agree. The current state of the Reroll Token is a massive deterrent. I'd honestly rather pay $3–$5 more for the token itself if it guaranteed a truly clean slate, including a full Mastery and Clade reset without the gold sink.

As it stands, I won’t spend more time or money on a reroll just to face another 10k gold grind. If I get bored with my current build but the barrier to switch is a "double penalty" (real money + massive gold farming), I’ll likely just quit the game for another 6–12 months instead. SV needs to realize that making builds accessible isn't "easy mode" - it's what keeps the meta diverse and the players logged in

If they provide too much, they hurt the RMT market. If they hurt the RMT market too much, RMTer squads and guilds will unsubscribe. The amount of money SV gets from the gold sellers subscribing and buying new accounts is significantly more than any of these services would generate.

That’s a very cynical take on the game's health. Prioritizing the interests of RMT farmers over the experience of legitimate, paying subscribers is a recipe for a dead game.

If the gold sink for masteries is so massive that players like I said would rather quit for 6–12 months than engage with the "double penalty" (money + grind), then SV is losing way more in long-term subscription revenue than they could ever gain from the RMT ecosystem
A "classless MMORPG" should encourage build variety, not stifle it. Making the Reroll Token a true "clean slate" isn't about making the game "easy mode" - it's about respecting the player's time and financial investment. If SV wants a healthy meta and a stable CCU (concurrent users), they need to lower the barriers to entry for experimentation, rather than forcing players into a gold-selling market just to fix a build they already paid to reset

I agree with you 100%, but the reality is that when it comes time to respec, many players just swipe their credit cards and get a small gold stack to do it.

Every time I get the urge to play the game, I want to play a different spec within my clade. Then I realize my options are A) Farming thousands of gold to just dumpster it into mastery respec shards or B) Rolling an alt and no-life level the masteries up again (and spend about the same amount of money unlocking new lines in the process) or C) Pay like 30 dollars for the gold I need to respec. All three options are heinous, so I leave the game uninstalled.
