If Henrik cared, he wouldn't force everyone on the planet to play on one server... one that is still capped at 2k players.
I quit months ago because SV doesn't give a crap about players' experience. High ping is unacceptable for an action game. Just coming back to see if anything has changed...
Literally most of the current server issues could be solved by regional servers. Queues, player load in distance, and ping... all easily solvable. Henrik being adamant about a singular shared world will kill this game.
Yeah, I have an average ping of 150 from the USA, and I'm questioning whether I'll stick to MO2 long-term because of it. I enjoy the game, but I shouldn't have to worry about ping when playing any game. There should be local servers.
Just like the dudes screaming this is a sandbox game and people can / should play however they want, and then in the next breath say you HAVE to join a guild or you deserve to not have fun... because you're not playing how the game is 'intended'.
If they can't get the capacity issues sorted, SV should just accept it but I don't think instancing cities is the correct thing to do. Just accept that servers will hold ~2k players and release regional servers. The player base is there to support it, and releasing regional servers would allow...
I agree, and SV is aware. However, I wouldn't want them adding any more spawns to the game until they get their server issues sorted, because their server is tapping out already. Adding more spawns would just make things worse.
