This Game could go on forever like UO. Some feedback and suggestions.

As many know, UO is still going on official and private servers. The game has low graphics but is still fun. With Unreal Engine MO2 could constantly upgrade the games graphics for maybe 20+ years and it would still be enjoyable.

The problem with UO is it added a safe instance of the game called Trammel which ruined the 'danger' aspect of it that we all love in MO1 and MO2. Further more they changed old school UO(more enjoyable) into Diablo II because of Diablo's popularity at the time. Weapons began having attributes and stat enhancements to them AND they made the items insurable so you wouldn't loose them in PVP on the free for all PVP in Fellucia (the dangerous instance of the game that UO used to be exclusively). This made the game cater to cowards that play too much not risking anything because they'd get their stuff back after death. The game started to really decline on the official servers because of this and then old school free servers started popping up around that time.

I think MO2 is great, however I believe there is more to be desired. A crouch/prone/stealth that doesn't require any skill tree(except for maybe pick pocketing) that is based on armor color and type of armor would be nice. The game already has heavier metal armor that makes more noise than leather armor, they could just enhance that effect. ESO has crouch ability on every class. A natural backstab or hidden player landing and arrow, giving a bonus of10%+/- damage could appeal to people who like stealth games. The terrain in this game is perfect for this kind of stealth. This would be nice to see here.

Adding aesthetics like RP emotes- drinking ale, tables, benches, etc. to sit on would add a lot of aesthetics. Crossbows would be appealing to some new customers. If you made some of the empty buildings rentable and added AI to the NPCs to have texts above their heads in town saying things to you as you pass by makes the game more immersive. These NPCs could even talk back to you, give information etc. Open source AI could be added I think. It doesn't have to be the best AI but would be nice to have. Ganking is a set back for some but not for others, but being able to hire NPCs if they're going out solo into the world to fight with you like UO had would fix that some of that.

I would say a bigger team at Star Vault and more marketing could bring in a lot more people. Re-investments into YouTube adds could really bump the player base up especially if they're always making the game more dynamic as long as they don't do what UO did which I don't think they would.

Constantly making empty buildings in town(over time) useful places to rent(like mentioned) or even adding more services in these buildings(again over time) makes the game more immersive. NPC AI could start wars between towns like ancient Greece was like and a town crier in the town square could announce and recruit for these temporary battles that even has AI do it if no one player joins the battle. It keeps the game fresh and immersive. Over the head text is nice too for players, not just bandits. Caravans with NPC guards traveling from town to town like charter busses that are still killable(but tough) would give some players relative safety to bring goods from one town to another if they so chose to ride/run with them.

Full loot of, lets say risars, like all their armor(low level stuff) and weapons for noobs that cant make things on their own yet seems realistic and more fun.

To recap on the Unreal Engine; UO is still fun to play but you cant upgrade those graphics and game mechanics very well. Unreal Engine can change that.

These ideas are nice in my opinion, but they're just insight and suggestions for Star Vault to bring this game to its maximum potential. What do you guys think?

Boats and ships! NO skills required to man them but depending on the size it takes multiple people to run. Ship warfare with weaponry and an island to fight between Nave and the island! Engineering to make them... I don't know. There's SO much that can be done with this platform. Just a few of my ideas.

Sea monsters like kraken, whales to hunt etc.

A lot of good ideas here. Some or all of them have been suggested by others in the community at one time or another.

The upcoming Reckoning expansion will hopefully address some of your ideas, like the non-player insectoid hive-mind swarm that slowly grows dynamically until it becomes a continent-wide threat, and will eventually invade npc towns where the existing guards may not be sufficient to fend them off. That is where the players come in, and it will be interesting to see how they react in the ensuing chaos.

Anything that makes the world of Nave a truly "living, breathing world" (a popular marketing term that, in my opinion, has been overused to the point of insult to the term itself) is good for the game.

After reading you, there are a lot of ideas, but responding is hell, you spread yourself too thinly over a lot of different subjects.

It makes me think, (more an ambiguous idea) to gather all the ideas by themes of what they approach in a subject which will make places of arrangement, and thus one could have a broad vision on the ideas of the communities of players past and present on what it project to have in the game. (Several hours of work of research, like a prehistoricist.)

To get back to what seems to be the subject, SAILLING, here's an example
13m58s.
Also i have created some list of games like a Sea of Thieves, but it's not full of type of similar games algready.

So I guess what is more generally what I wanted to inspire was filling in the blanks of Nave.
Things like these are just examples. They can do whatever they want, obviously.

-Over time, adding things like RP elements(sitting at tables in taverns/homes, etc.)
-More AI driven NPC elements.
-More things to do like ship warfare/hunting.
-Crouching and prone.
Etc.
As examples...

Don't get me wrong this game has a lot to offer and I love it. It's Star Vaults game and they can do what they want. I just feel they could definitely make it hands down the best game ever created with the platform that exists already. It wouldn't happen overnight but I know they could come up with constant upgrades that make it stand out even more so than it already does.

Most of this stuff has already been promised to us, them actually doing it is another story... 🤷‍♀️

What they'll end up doing is creating a giant new system that no one asked for that will remain perpetually broken...

Welcome to Mortal...

I don't think people buy or quit the game for a lot of the reasons that might be thought.

It says PVP full loot. So they aren't just getting mad someone PK'ed them. Most of the time. Could get into if the game would be better with more of one thing and less of something else. But that's just talking about what's already in the game.

If you ask me?

It's because of the lure of other games that have other kinds of content to play.

From a player's perspective, other ways of playing a fantasy game. It's the other games Star Vault is competing with. That's why these kinds of ideas are good. Yes, assuming it's technically feasible without tanking FPS, boats and all that stuff is a great idea. Bring on the dragons and the talking NPCs. And the AI generated quests. Anything Star vault can reasonably do is a good idea. To compete with those other games.
