Cooking tool question

I've been trying to understand the whole cooking system, but I don't quite get how cooking tools impact the raw value of ingredients.

I assumed that a certain cooking tool would multiply the raw value by a specific amount (e.g., cooking pot multiplies stamina nourishment by 2 or whatever value), but experimentation shows that's clearly not the case.

Can anyone explain to me how it works? I don't understand.

Thats how it works but certain tools require certain materials in different proportions. Roughly divided in solid materials "dry", líquid ones and oily ones i think.
