I log into Meduli, and something pops up in my head "damn there's a lot of Alvarins", now I know they are majority playrate but I thought maybe it's 2-1 ratio or something, I go let's count.
So for today, I counted everyone I met, and every head posted in chat. Here's some data
Town first count, almost right when I logged on, excluding myself, this is not made up, a joke or a meme, these are literally the numbers as crazy as it sounds:
Alvarins - 13
Thursars -1
Oghmirs -1
Humans - 0
Then I went into a dungeon, saw 3 Alvarins and died to them and a few mounteds maybe humans maybe alvarins on the way there, I will not count the mounteds, because I don't know if it's humans or alvarins.
So far Alvarins 16, Thursars -1 Oghmirs -1 Humans -0
Now for the heads posted in chat
Alvarin - 9
Thursar -1
Oghmir -5 (all 5 in one group of head posts, so not unique fights)
Human -0
So total count of people I seen today is: 25 Alvarins 2 Thursars 6 Oghmirs and 0 Humans. I probably saw but didnt count a few humans in town later,
This leaves us at alvarins being 75% of the playrate, while only being 25% or 1 out of 4 clades.
This is an absurd outlier, and needs nerfs instantly. SV is perhaps LYING that they have internal data, if they did they would nerf them long time ago, and def wouldnt nerf Thursars before alvarins, at best they have subbed chars and accounts list and what clade they are and many people have multiple or even all characters, but what matters is playrate.
Now obviously to address the elephant in the room this is low sample size, anecdotal data, and I have not even provided proof, but I urge you to try counting for yourself, I promise you they are easily the majority and more played than 3 other races combined, especially outside of towns, as in town chars are often dueling or trade or crafting chars, for which it benefits to be other races. Go to your closest dungeon and count the clades being played. Check every head posted in chat and see which race it is.
