    EVE Online has a program exactly like what you just described. Works rather well, the only downside is that EVE is so complex and near vertical learning curve that majority of newcomers will likely not continue beyond the trial period. Not sure how SV feels about doing a program like this...

    I'd imagine that with plenty of Youtubers and Twitch streamers in the community showcasing the game for all the world to see, the discerning potential new player should be able to decide if the game is for them. I am going with no for this one.

    If MO2 goes persistent and SV does a wipe after that, I may need to get myself a tabletop sand garden with rake to push the sand around. It would truly drive me up the wall if they did that.

    I'm hoping that would be the case, I've heard of the term "Persistent Beta" somewhere which I'm guessing may be the period of Early Access in March till Q4 2021 at which point the word "Beta" gets removed and the game enters Full Release.

    For me, the random freeze then system reboot without warning and at random. That is a show-stopper for me, especially when I'm recording as it completely corrupts the video file with no way of repairing it.

    Worth it to still buy beta access ?

    Buying beta access will grant you access now and on launch day, so either way you're getting the full experience sooner or later. So far, the game is on schedule for a March launch, hopefully they polish up the game over the next 2-3 weeks just in time before the doors open.

    1. I think the higher numbers have to do with the way crafting works in this game. When you craft a sword, there are sliders where you decide how much of each material you want to put into it.
