Magic in this game and its issues

You're just bad at talking to people. I might be able to improve my game. You're screwed. Condescending prick.

MO2 Is stacked in favour of RPK

This is the the thing. These "hardcore pvpers" don't want an honest fight. They need to use blue status otherwise they'd never win. Just like anyone who finds an exploit and uses it they would probably quit if they lost that advantage.

Let's put the MOUNT back into Mounted Magery

I can't get a group to do mino king and I can't afford 3k to buy the scroll. I refuse to buy spirit boxes because they are too expensive. Besides, our (small) guild is still saving for a stronghold so wasting gold on something like spiritism is out of the question.

What would revitalize MO2? Just some thoughts...

The beta testers? It's not really keeping a game alive when it hasn't even been born yet. That same "dedicated PvP base" have done their damnest to scare away potential new players. Most of the time they don't even give newbies a chance to settle in. So if they kept the game alive during beta...

What would revitalize MO2? Just some thoughts...

I think there are a number of factors but the main one is content. I think SV have realised that they need to get content out and can't spend endless patches fiddling with the back end. It needs fixing but what's the use of a fully optimised server if it is empty? They need to prioritise war...

Let's put the MOUNT back into Mounted Magery

That's fair. The real problem with mortal interrupts is that they completely reset the spell cast. If the hits and horse movement only delayed that cast instead of cancelling it then it would take a lot of frustration out of the magic schools without breaking the reason for having it in the...

MO2 Is stacked in favour of RPK

Not true. Plenty of war stories show the offensive side losing. And in real life the person throwing the first punch definitely loses in court. Plenty of martial arts specifically teach you to let the opponent make the first move so you then have an idea of their plan/intent. If we apply RL...

    Multiverse lore

It literally says that at the start.

MO2 Is stacked in favour of RPK

You're right. There are plenty of other games out there. Why bother making this one more attractive to new players. Fk em. Stupid carebears.

Imagine adding nothing to the conversation. Oh, you don't have to imagine.

MO2 Is stacked in favour of RPK

Nah. If it was anti-MA I'd say so 😁 I am anti-MA atm but that isn't what this post was about.

MO2 Is stacked in favour of RPK

Lol. It's not really an ambush when the player is a blue unknown. That's a convenient disguise. It's kinda like game skins where you don't know what class or armour a person is before you engage them. Would you be in favour of visual skins in MO2?

MO2 Is stacked in favour of RPK

You're denying all of these things being advantages? Maybe read what I wrote again. The attacker decides where the attack takes place and if they are smart (maybe you aren't) they will choose to attack near a red priest or another place they can rezz quickly and return from. You know what, I...

    Stuns and slows

Maybe re-read the original post because it wasn't saying anything like that.

MO2 Is stacked in favour of RPK

Maybe if there was some visible tag that showed they have criminal actions enabled. That still gives them an advantage because, if you have crim actions off, they know you can't make the first hit. Being able to go straight from blue to grey is too much of an advantage.

MO2 Is stacked in favour of RPK

PK's get all the advantages. PROS: They decide where the fight takes place. They decide whether to initiate the fight. They have the element of surprise (priceless) They can use blue as a subterfuge. If killed first they can return to the fight quickly (see first point) If they get the kill...

    Stuns and slows

It started off on a horse and ended with a dead horse and a dead mage. In any case the horse would be dead so even if I killed the guy I wouldn't be able to recover my loot because by the time I got back with a mount the opponent could have already returned and looted everything. It's...

    fat magicians (ogrims)

They are good for team play but the amount of people running hybrids makes most of your strengths obsolete. Slow cast times mean that your epic damage won't be realised on anything but the toughest bosses because normal mobs will be dead before the cast completes. Preload helps but if your team...

    Stuns and slows

Henrik, you've said in numerous streams that you don't want these kind of mechanics in game because they remove the player from the game. So why do casters have to suffer the RNG interrupt function? Do you not understand that this is exactly the kind of mechanic that you, yourself, have called...

    Make MA be like MM

We agree on something at least. But you are underestimating how bad the RNG interrupt mechanic is. I could live with the range (as pitiful as it is). I could even learn to live with the epic mounted cast times. But I won't tolerate all of that with constant interrupts on top. Removing...
